Welcome to the latest addition to the Rockley Watersports website - Straw’s Corner. After 33 years of working with Rockley Watersports, I am at last making my mark!! 

My real name is Andy Smith and you wouldn’t know it now, but I adopted the name ‘Straw’ through the ‘straw like hair’ of my youth when I actually had hair!! As the Centre Manager of the Sailing Centre I have had the privilege of teaching every type of sailing and powerboating course to all ages and characters of people. My site is aimed at absolutely anyone from beginners who want to get in to sailing to budding Instructors who want to join this fantastic industry. Through a series of articles and video clips I hope to give you all the information you need.
