Sailing specialist Rockley Watersports is continuing to build its legacy for 2012 by supporting Team Dorset's objectives to get more people participating in sport, play and leisure activities by offering evening windsurfing lessons for people of any age and ability.

The six week course begins in April at Rockley Watersports in Poole Park and is a perfect way to stick to any healthy New Year's resolutons from keeping fit, losing weight or even meeting new people.

The 12 for 2012 is an initiative set up by the Dorset Strategic Partnership, to ensure that everyone gets the most from having the Olympic Sailing event in the South, including embracing increased interest in sport from children and adults alike.

Rockley Watersports endeavour to 'get more people on the water' so the 12 for 2012 legacy fits in perfectly with their own established vision, but they are now stepping it up a gear to help drive forward the 2012 message.

Talking of the course and the legacy Rockley Watersports managing director Peter Gordon said "This is the second of our efforts to support the legacy and we fully intend to do 12 before 2012 to help Team Dorset to realise their vision of a healthier more active Dorset. We think having evening windsurfing lessons will help to encourage people that work or have other commitments to take part, and the timing is perfect for all those who have made New Year's resolutions to take up something new!"
