The Landes Region

Our two watersports holiday centres are to be found in the south west, Landes region, not far from the fabulous Atlantic coast. This region, also known as Aquitaine, with the beautiful Garonne and Gironde rivers flowing through it, is rich in culture. From the bustling port and elegant eighteenth century streets of Bordeaux to white washed fishing villages and the chic resort town of Biarritz, you will find ancient and modern cultures living side by side with relaxed and adventurous lifestyles.

Cote d’Argent

The long sandy beaches of the Cote d’Argent lie just a few miles from our centres. Well named with 100 miles of silver sand stretching from Arcachon in the north to Biarritz close to the Spanish border. This wild Atlantic coast with its rolling waves is a surf mecca throughout the year. With the many beach towns offering an exciting mix of café society and laid back surf culture there are few cooler places to ‘hang out’.

Famous Cuisine

The south west, or Sud Ouest, offers a wonderful variety of celebrated French cuisine. If you like seafood then you will love dining out locally. The region is equally famed for its fabulous hearty dishes of duck and goose as well as being the home of some world-renowned wines. The vineyards of St Emilion, Medoc, Chateau Rothschild and Chateau Lafitte are all within an easy drive.
