Sailing Intermediate

Now you can handle the boat on your own in moderate conditions, this intermediate course concentrates on improving boat-handling skills as both helm and crew and problem solving afloat. The perfect course for recreational sailors as this forms a good grounding for sailing in more difficult conditions and is great preparation for the advanced course.

Assumed knowledge: Ability to rig, launch and sail round a triangular course independently. RYA Stage 4 or RYA Level 2/3

Youth / Junior Intermediate - 5 days

RYA Seamanship Skills and RYA Day Sailing modules - able to sail in most conditions, plan a day sail and problem solve afloat, covers skills including man overboard, anchoring etc.

Youth / Junior Intermediate - 3 Days

RYA Seamanship Skills module - Problem solving afloat - The 3-day course covers the first 3 days of the full 5-day course and can be extended to the full course for a supplement of £100.00
