Powerboat Advanced & Safety Boat Course

We offer two advanced-level 2-day courses for those wishing to develop navigational skills and improve handling of powerboats.

The RYA Safety Boat course trains competent powerboat drivers in fleet rescue and the techniques required when rescuing small craft. It is useful for those wishing to assist with rescue cover at their sailing club and is also required for those wishing to enroll on the Senior Instructor Course.

The RYA Advanced Powerboat course covers highspeed navigation and handling of powerboats in coastal waters and will include a night exercise. You will need several years experience as well as navigational knowledge up to RYA Day Skipper level.
