RYA Senior Instructor

This 4-day course covers preparation and delivery of sessions, course and centre management, powerboat handling in a teaching environment, RYA sailing schemes and the role of the Senior Instructor.  Students will be assessed on a continual basis over the 4 days when running water-based simulated group management sessions.  You will be asked to demonstrate that you have sailing ability to Pre-Entry Assessment standard.

Prior to the course students must have had 2 years intermittent or 1 years full time RYA dinghy instructing experience, RYA Safety Boat, a reccommendation from an RYA Centre Principal and a valid First Aid certificate.
