Poole - Out and About
Poole Harbour must certainly rank as one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world. It has over 100 miles of coastline and many miles of navigable channels, peaceful creeks and islands, the most famous of which is Brownsea Island, owned by the National Trust. Poole is justly proud of its harbour and the miles of clean, soft sand of the Sandbanks, Studland and Shell Bay beaches. The Town Quay, with its chandleries, Poole Pottery, restaurants and traditional pubs is well worth a visit after the sailing day is over.
