Special RequirementsAll special requests should be clearly noted at the time of booking. We will make every effort to comply with all special requests although they may be subject to availability. Please make sure that you have informed us, either on your booking from or in writing, of any special dietary requirements (if you are having meals with us) and any medical notes which we should be aware of. We need to know about any medication that you are taking or physical disabilities that you may have
Arrival and Departure - Residential studentsIf you arrive the evening before your corporate day, please check in at Rockley Lodge (situated on the left at the entrance to Rockley Park) between 1700 and 1800 or at the agreed time. When you arrive, a 'Senior Instructor’ will show you to your accommodation.
Arrival and Departure - Day StudentsYou are requested to book in at reception on the day of your Corporate/Hospitality day. Booking in times are between 0915 and 0925. If you are going to be late, please inform the office. The day will finish at approximately 1630.
AccommodationOur accommodation sleeps between 4 to 6 people per room. We ensure that all room occupants are of the same sex. It is up to our residential customers to ensure that their rooms are kept clean and tidy throughout their stay and that they respect those sharing the room with them
Sleeping Bag and Pillow

For those who are staying in our residential accommodation we do not provide linen therefore you must bring a sleeping bag and pillow with you.

Food and Drink

Inclusive in the residential option are three meals per day. Snacks and drinks are available at the Rockley shop during designated opening times. For those of you who are not staying with us and have not ordered lunches, Rockley Park has its own convenience store and there is also a small shop based on the beach for snacks and drinks. These facilities may not be available very late or early on in the season and opening times may be restricted.

Centre Rules

For the safety and comfort of all our students and staff we have a number of rules for the Sailing Centre and residential accommodation. These include: 

NO SMOKING anywhere around the centre or accommodation.
NO EATING OR DRINKING in the bedrooms.
NO TAMPERING with the FIRE/SMOKE alarms.


Rooms to be kept tidy – please use the shelves and underbed storage boxes for your belongings. Things left lying around may be thrown away.
Your room will be vacuumed, your bins will be emptied and your bathrooms will be cleaned, if left in a tidy condition. We reserve the right to charge for any extra cleaning that we deem is required.
We can not be held responsible for loss or damage to personal property – please look after your belongings, keep doors & windows closed &/or locked. Any damage, however caused, will be charged to all occupants in the room concerned – unless the person responsible owns up to it.

Car ParkingThe car parking area is owned and administered by Rockley Park and not ourselves. Charges are made for car parking (half price if you say you are with us) and do not apply if you are simply picking up or dropping off.
FacilitiesAs we share this part of Poole with the Caravan Park, their customers and local residents, Rockley Watersports asks you, as our customers, to respect the other users of Rockley Lodge, the Caravan Park and its facilities. Should you wish to have access to any of the Rockley Park facilities you will need to have a pass which can be obtained at the Rockley Park reception. For further details, call 01202 679669. Please note that certain facilities will not be available out of high season (which is July and August) when the park will be quieter. Laundry facilities are available and tokens can also be obtained from Rockley Park reception for a fee.
Brochure AccuracyThe Rockley Point Sailing Centre brochure is prepared some months in advance. Every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the facts contained in the brochure. Circumstances may arise however where certain particulars have to be modified. In these circumstances the Company will make every effort to provide suitable alternatives but will not be held liable for changes made by outside influences.
Our staff are often asked for information not contained in the brochure. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that all information given is correct, the Company cannot be held responsible if this should prove inaccurate.
What to WearYou will need PLENTY of old clothes - as sailing can be a damp sport! Bring shorts and T-shirts for warmer days and tracksuit bottoms and sweatshirts for colder days. A pair of old trainers or deck shoes are also recommended.
RockleyessentialsRockley Watersports has its own shop selling various sailing gear from boots, wetsuits and gloves to the Instructor Course essentials – whistles and a knife. We also sell a range of Rockley Watersports/Animal T-shirts and baseball caps. A range of goods can also be bought online. Visit our website: www.rockleywatersports.com
Local ActivitiesPoole hosts numerous evening events on the Quay and on Sandbanks beach during the week throughout high season – the highlight being a firework display on a Thursday evening. If you would like advice on where to eat and drink during your stay in Poole, or what to see and do, please ask in the office or contact Poole Tourism. In early and late season some restaurants and local facilities may be closed and although mentioned in the brochure, cannot be guaranteed.
Health/First AidOur Centre is fully equipped with first aid boxes located in the Residential accommodation and Rockley Point Sailing Centre offices. All our main safety boats carry a First Aid kit and a radio. All our Instructors hold a valid First Aid certificate and attend a health and safety induction when joining the Company.
