12 for 2012

The 12 for 2012 is an initiative set up by the Dorset Strategic Partnership, to ensure that everyone gets the most from having the Olympic sailing event in Dorset, including embracing increased interest in sport from children and adults alike.

One of the legacy objectives is to see an increased participation by people of all ages in sport, play and leisure activities. It also aims to see increased levels of health and a reduction in the level of obesity in all ages of Dorset's population through healthier more active lifestyles.

At Rockley, we always endeavour to 'get more people on the water' so much of the “12 for 2012” legacy fits perfectly with our own established vision. As a business we have adopted the “12 for 2012” idea to build our very own legacy of increased participation.

In the build up to the 2012 Olympic Games we are committed to launching at least 12 new initiatives before the Opening Ceremonies on 27 July 2012. Our 12 legacy initiatives will be listed below as they each go ‘live’, follow the links to find out more about each one:
